A daylight bicycle chase scene in Miami is transformed into a heart-pounding hurricane environment. As the sole CGI and VFX artist, I reconstructed the scenes in 3D, introducing CGI elements while retaining the original actors, bicycle, and van interior.
Challenges
Matching lighting and color grading was a key challenge, ensuring a seamless blend between the original footage and CGI.
Creating realistic rain, wind, and other hurricane effects to bring the scene to life.
The footage was shot at different times, presenting inconsistent lighting conditions.
The absence of lens data posed challenges in camera tracking and scene reconstruction.
